The objective of this course is to provide students with an introduction to business and give them a broad view of business activities and the various functional areas of management: marketing, production, finance, accounting, human resources. The social responsibility and the need for ethical practices will be emphasized throughout the course.

Students will:

-          Acquire basic knowledge about business concepts, activities and forms of organization

-          Understand how the various functions relate to one another and why it is important to be ethical when doing business

Apply what they know to explain specific business problems and suggest solutions
